Mr. Pratul Shroff is a pioneering serial entrepreneur, venture investor, and philanthropist with over three decades of experience in technology and business leadership across India and the USA. He founded eInfochips in 1994 and grew it from a one-person venture into an organization of approximately 2,000 engineers before its acquisition by Arrow Electronics in 2018.

As a first mover in the industry, he played a pioneering role in shaping Gujarat’s semiconductor, embedded systems, and product engineering ecosystem, inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs. His entrepreneurial legacy extends beyond building a successful enterprise, with nearly 60 startups founded by former eInfochips employees, reflecting his enduring influence on innovation, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem development.

Beyond his entrepreneurial achievements, Mr. Shroff has dedicated himself to social impact through the Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation (KRSF), which he established in 2012. The foundation focuses on education, livelihoods, advocacy, climate change, and healthcare, partnering with NGOs to drive scalable and sustainable social change. Through these initiatives, he drives an annual social impact investment of around INR 50 crore, working with 30+ organisations across eight states in India to create meaningful and lasting change in underserved communities.

He also actively mentors entrepreneurs and invests in startups and venture capital funds, driven by his belief in technology’s potential to transform businesses and society.

Earlier in his career, Pratul spent over a decade in Silicon Valley working with Intel and Daisy Systems, where he contributed to the growth of the technology sector. He has received several prestigious recognitions, including the Gujarat Ratna and the Hercules Award in 2018. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani, a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Cornell University, USA, and an Executive MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
